Te Deum Presents: Classroom Connections
Bringing professional choral performances into the academic experience
Te Deum’s Classroom Connections program offers an exciting way to bridge academic learning with live, professional choral performances. Whether exploring musicology, performance practice, composition, vocal and choral performance, arts entrepreneurship, or related fields, our performances can enrich and inspire deeper understanding.
As one of Kansas City’s premier professional choral ensembles, Te Deum is known for its innovative programming and commitment to both historical and contemporary music. Classroom Connections invites university students and educators to engage with our performances in meaningful ways.
Two Ways to Get Involved:
1. Complimentary Concert Tickets
Professors and students can attend Te Deum performances for free when concerts align with classroom topics. Complimentary tickets are available for students, and faculty receive free admission when bringing their class. Group seating is available to help create a more tailored educational experience.
2. Guest Presentations by Artistic Director, Dr. Matthew Christopher Shepard
Dr. Shepard is available for guest lectures, Q&A sessions, or tailored presentations. He brings expertise in choral performance, repertoire, and arts entrepreneurship, offering unique insights that connect our performances to academic learning.
